Online Tuition

Alongside my in-person workshops I offer online tuition. My approach is rooted in transferring practical and technical skills along side the symbolic and mystical nature of the Craft.

The humble Drop Spindle is a perfect introductory tool into the world of Hand and Weaving. This beautiful and effective way to make thread has been utilised for thousands upon thousands of years.

It is a true ancestral skill, handed down by generations across human history and throughout the globe.

Our sessions will include starting off the thread, exploring different methods and developing muscle memory. I aim to combine the practical elements of learning a new skill alongside the ritual of craft. We will explore the spiritual symbolism, enviromental benefits, cultural significance and soul essence of Spinning.

I love to teach hand spinning techniques, and have taught students online for over 2 years now and in person for over 4 years. This is an effective and simple way for you to receive tuition from home, wherever you are in the World. I'm happy to teach beginners or spinners wanting advice with their technique and guidance along their weaving and spinning journeys.

There are the options to have a 1 hour or 1 and a half hour time slot and for me to send you a drop spindle and wool bundle.

We will then arrange a time and date that suits us over email. If you have any questions about this offering, do not hesitate to get in contact.

If you are drawn to Weaving, we can work with one of the wooden looms from the Weavers kit or your own other style of Loom.
